Conferences and the Real Estate Industry 2024: GIDI-CON In View — Olowora Fawaz

As the real estate industry grows, significantly increasing its contribution to the nation’s development, stakeholder engagement like conferences, summits, town hall, and industry-themed gatherings, are way to go to foster discourse on sustaining this growth for continued progress.

Given the industry’s responsibility of equally ensuring the provision of shelter to all in the country, also, these engagements are relevant, as its provides an avenue of obtaining new insights on reducing the country’s housing problems beyond profit making.

This article attempts to register credibility to real estate conferences given the upcoming Gidi Real Estate Investment Limited Mid-year Conference, tagged the GIDI-CON 24.

Beyond the primary purpose of networking and keynote speeches. Real estate conferences are crucial for the facilitation of high-impact, industry-centered discussion engagements.

Conferences are a very good avenue to devise solutions for the many real estate problems plaguing Nigeria, and action points for the development of the industry.

The success of conferences is, however, determined by the value it can offer audience and the real estate public.

Therefore, the conferences’ primary problem statements are:
-What do the audiences stand to gain?
-How do they affect the industry in which they are occurring?

Gidi Real Estate Investment Limited’s Mid-Year conference did not fall short of answering these question.

By moving the norms of Nigeria real estate towards a sustainable path, where the goal of all relevant stakeholders of the industry are aligned, where there is fair play, and coordination, GIDI-CON 24 seeks to steer a discourse that brings all these stakeholders together.

This involves creating an avatar that connect the governmental policy makers and regulators, the real estate developers community, real estate professionals, property and home buyers, and investors, observers, etc.

This is a firm call on the Nigerian real estate players to take up the mantle to develop the sustainable future we seek for Nigerians and for Africans by extension.
