Gidi Real Estate Investment Ltd formalises commitment to sponsor 3-Year-Old Abayomi Michael’s Education | Gidi Blog

After a fruitful discussion with Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development in Lagos State, on January 16, 2025, Gidi Real Estate Investment Ltd formally announced its intention to fully finance 3-year-old Master Abayomi Michael’s schooling.

This commitment is in reaction to the upsetting event in which Master Abayomi was physically abused by his teacher at Christ-Mitots School in Ikorodu.

To formalize the sponsorship’s modalities and guarantee that Abayomi’s educational journey—from his current level through university—will be fully covered, the management of Gidi Real Estate, led by the COO, Ayorinde Ejioye, met with the Honourable Commissioner, the ministry’s permanent secretary, and other state officials who are directly involved with the matter.

This also includes offering the essential welfare assistance to ensure his safety and well-being throughout his educational journey.

The Honourable Commissioner praised Gidi Real Estate Investment Ltd for taking prompt action to assist Abayomi and emphasized the significance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in protecting child welfare across the state, hoping that more compassionate individuals and corporate entities will contribute to social development in Lagos and Nigeria. The Ministry promised its ongoing support to guarantee that Abayomi and his family receive all the necessary help to progress positively.

This sponsorship highlights Gidi Real Estate’s commitment to social impact projects focused on empowering at-risk communities and motivating collective efforts to safeguard the rights of every child.

Likewise, Gidi Real Estate Investment Ltd urges other companies and individuals to participate in advocating for child protection and social progress throughout Nigeria.
